Eseosa was the grandson of the Assassin Adéwalé and Bastienne Josèphe, and a member of the Assassin Brotherhood in Haiti during the start of the 19th century.

He was a friend of Dutty Boukman, and a participant in the Haitian Revolution which saw Haiti's slaves freed from their French masters. Eseosa also wrote a Codex to his grandfather sometime prior to the revolution.
