Emilio Barbarigo was a tyrant of Venice and was secretly a Templar. He was the first assassination target in [[Venice]].
Emilio Barbarigo was a tyrant of Venice and was secretly a Templar. He was the first assassination target in [[Venice]].


In Venice Emilio had taken control of Venice and holding it with an iron fist. He apparently single-handedly funded the city guard. Along with the [[Thieves]], [[Ezio]] was able to sneak into Barbarigo's palace and assassinate him. But before his death Ezio had heard him talking with a man named [[Carlo Grimaldi]]. With Emilio out of the way the Thieves had regained their former glory and has been keeping an eye out for any others who were allies of Emilio such as Carlo Grimaldi and the rest of his family.
