Eleuthera was a British-controlled fort located on the island of the same name in the Bahamas in the Caribbean. It was one of the ten forts that were captured by the pirate Edward Kenway.
After the fort's capture, a harbormaster's station was built by the docks, and two naval contracts were offered to Kenway by a representative of the Dutch trader Milo van der Graaff.
Trivia
- The name Eleuthera is derived from the Greek word ελευθερία (eleutheria), meaning "freedom".
