Al Gore Jr. was born in 1948 in the city of Washington, D.C. He grew up on a family farm in Carthage, Tennessee, and in Washington, where his parents would work most of the year. His father, Gore Sr, was a Senator, no longer had any time to work on his farm and therefore hired a steward who went by the name of William Thompson. The Thompson became something of a second family to Al Gore Jr. His sister Nancy who was ten years older than him, studied law at the Vanderbilt University in Nashville and she became one of the co-founders of the Peace Corps, initiated by John F. Kennedy. She worked for several organizations in Europe and then returned to Tennessee, married a lawyer and together they worked as calf breeders. Nancy died in 1984 from lung cancer, she was a chain smoker after all.
When he was seventeen, Al Gore Jr. went to Boston's Harvard University where he majored in Government. Among his friends were Tommy Lee Jones, comedian Bob Somerby and today's respected artist Michael Kapitan. Gore's roommate was John Tyson, from New Jersey who worked as a businessman and development aid worker in Africa. In the mid 1960s, it was still unusual for a white student - especially from the South - to share a room with a black kid. Years before the Club of Rome published its famous report, Gore was interested in ecology. In his semester holidays, he worked as a messenger boy at the New York Times. Al Gore also went to the University of Mexico City where he improved his knowledge of the Spanish language which helped him in his contact with Spanish voters.

His idealized image is that he's hardworking, trustworthy and respectable despite the constant taunts he's faced in his career.

Al Gore had an average built up body and had a height of 6'1. He also had a very clean cut hairstyle, which was short and naturally brown but it started to gray over the years. He contained no visible facial hair and had a tall nose as well as brown eyes.

Albert Arnold "Al" Gore, Jr. (born March 31, 1948) served as the 45th Vice-President of the United States from 1993 to 2001 under President Bill Clinton. He was the Democratic Party nominee for President in the 2000 U.S. presidential election.

Biography

Early life

Al Gore Jr. was born in 1948 in the city of Washington, D.C. He grew up on a family farm in Carthage, Tennessee, and in Washington, where his parents would work most of the year.
