The Akrokorinth, also spelled Akro-Korinth[1], was an acropolis above the polis Korinth in Korinthia, Greece. The immense hill was the site of the city's Temple of Aphrodite which was renowned for its hetaerae during the 5th century BCE.
During the Peloponnesian War the Spartan misthios Kassandra visited the Akrokorinth in search of information about her mother's whereabouts.[2]
