Akriaia was a small village southeast of Sparta, located in the southeastern hills of Lakonia, Greece.
The village was home to a small group of the Perioikoi, a group of Spartan subcitizens who lived in the rural communities of Lakonia and Messenia. During the Peloponnesian War, the village was visited by the Spartan misthios, Kassandra.[1]
