Diogenes (c. 412 BCE – 323 BCE) was a Greek philosopher and one of the founders of Cynic philosophy.

Originally from Sinope, a city in Ionia in Anatolia, Diogenes travelled to Athens to study under Antisthenes. Diogenes later lived in a barrel and delivered his teachings in public space.[1]
