Desiderius Erasmus (October 28 1466 – July 12 1536) was a Dutch Renaissance humanist and a Catholic priest and theologian.He is famous for the book Praise Of Folly which criticized the Catholic Church's corruption.
The Assassins rescued him from being killed by Templars. He was targeted for his criticism of the Catholic Church, at the time under Rodrigo Borgia.
