The Desheret Desert is one of the most remote deserts in Egypt, being located in the southernmost region of Upper Egypt. Common hazards for human travelers in the area include bug storms and venomous cobras.
Lying in the desert are two sites constructed long ago by the Isu: the Seth-Anath Tomb and the Qeneb.too Kah'Aiye mechanism.
Trivia
- Desheret was the formal ancient Egyptian name for the Red Crown of Lower Egypt and for the vast desert known as the Red Land on either side of the fertile Nile River basin.
