Dekelia was a city situated in northern Attika, Greece.
During the Peloponnesian War, the city was used as a Spartan base at Alkibiades' recommendation. The location of the city allowed the Spartans to be at the crossroads of supply routes, aiding them in their war against Athens.[1]
Over the course of the war, the city was visited by the Spartan misthios, Kassandra.[1]
