Bárid mac Ímair's only child, Sichfrith has grown up ashamed that his father is more interested in forming trading alliances and cozying up to the High King than in traditional Viking attributes like courage and manliness. The boy became rebellious, but too effective to really counter his father.

He is left feeling sullen and disillusioned, as I suppose any teenager would, but this money lad is meant to become King of Dublin!
