Once in Italy, they thought they were safe from the Tigers, but they were followed by Templar agents. Ambushed by elite soldiers armed with muskets, Zhu Jiuyuan sacrificed himself so Shao Jun could escape alive. She finally reached Ezio Auditore's villa in Tuscany, where she was coldly received. Ezio seemed less than interested in the affairs of the Brotherhood but Shao Jun wanted help to rebuild her own, far away in China.
Thanks to the support of Ezio's wife Sofia, the elder Assassin offered hospitality to the Chinese traveler, hoping that she would soon depart from his land, and life.
