The Phoenix

Myrrine was born as the only daughter of King Leonidas of Sparta, with a birthmark resembling the constellation of Aquila on her arm. After her father died in the Battle of Thermopylae, the Spear of Leonidas was passed down to her. Years later Myrrine met the philosopher Pythagoras with whom she developed a short but passionate relationship. This resulted in the birth of two children, Kassandra and Alexios.

In 446 BCE Myrrine watched as Alexios was killed by falling off Mount Taygetos as a sacrifice. Her daughter Kassandra attempted to intervene but in the struggle was thrown off a cliff by Nikolaos, Myrrine's current husband, leaving Myrrine heartbroken under the assumption that both her children were gone.

Myrrine found the body of Alexios but was told he could not be saved. She proceeded to leave Sparta and began traveling in hopes of finding Kassandra. During this time she became a political figure and met many allies. She eventually reunited with Kassandra and supported her in the fight against the Cult of Kosmos.
