House Medici was a superior family that watched over the Italian city of Firenze during the late 15th century. The head of the house was a man named Lorenzo de' Medici, who was also a close ally of the Auditore family and a good friend of Ezio.
Several members of the House were deeply involved with the Assassin Order, and were considered a valuable ally to their cause. Due to their de facto control of Firenze and their allegiance to the Order, they were subject to constant Templar attacks.
