The dagger paired with the Spear of Leonidas

The Dagger of Messara was a dagger forged in Messara on the Greek island of Krete. It was notably used by the locals for various things, including to cut down olives out of trees.

During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra was given the dagger as a reward after she attempted to help a man keep the woman he loved safe.[1]
