Cynric (died 560) was the second king of Wessex, reigning from 534 to 560.
Biography
Cyrnic and his father Cerdic landed in what would later become Hampshire in 495.[1] There they fought with the Brittonic king Natanleod, and killed him in 508. In 519, his father undertook the throne and founded the House of Wessex. After his death in 534, Cynric succeeded him as king.[2]
