Agamemnon was a legendary king of Argos and leader of the Greek forces during the Trojan War. He was also revered by the Cult of Kosmos as the first servant of Kosmos, the Cult's ideal of peace through order.

After his death, a tomb dedicated to him was built in Argolis.[1]

He is featured in Homer's works The Iliad and The Odyssey. The authors Euripides and Sophocles also wrote of him.

Trivia

  • His name in Greek, Ἀγαμέμνων, means 'very steadfast', 'unbowed'. Derived from Ἀγαμέδμων from ἄγαν, 'very much' and μέδομαι, 'think on'.[2]
