The Coppergate Market was a market street in York, England, during the Medieval period. At its height, the market housed a vast variety of merchants ranging from craftsmen to weavers and glassmakers. In addition to merchants selling good froms wood to bones, slaves were also sold at the market.[1]

In 874, Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan strolled through Coppergate Market and searched for any transactions or mentions of the dockmaster Grigorii. During her investigation, Eivor tried to bribe stall owners with silver for information about Grigorii, to no avail.
