History

In ancient Rome, the metal was mostly imported from Cyprus, which was named after it.[1]

In the 15th and 16th centuries, the Spanish Brotherhood of Assassins utilized the metal to forge a number of weapons and armors for use against the Spanish Templars.[2]

During the American Revolutionary War, the Kanien'kehá:ka Assassin Ratonhnhaké:ton traded and used copper, among other things.[3]
