Cipriano Enu

Cipriano Enu was an African member of the Italian sect of the Assassin Order, and was a member of a team that included Francesco Vecellio, and Tessa Varzi. His skills in archery were renown, and he was described as the best of the Order in his time.

Biography

Arrival in Italy

"Cipriano Enu. His ebony skin marks him as a foreigner. The gleaming cross around his neck likely protects him from religious persecution in Roma."

While immigrating from his home country to Italy, Enu was sheltered by a kind old man who not only welcomed him as a guest, but also taught him seven other languages, which he could speak perfectly without giving his true identity away.

His connection with this old man, who was also a skilled forger, later allowed Enu and his Assassin teammates to gather new "identities" for themselves, in case they were ever in need of a disguise.

Apprenticeship in Rome

Enu finished his training at the same time as Francesco Vecellio, whom he had met during a Free Running exercise, set to them by their mentor, Ezio Auditore. Already a skilled marksman so early into his training, Enu was able to hit Francesco twice with padded arrows, one to the shoulder and another to the forehead.

Later, upon being assigned to be the head of a team of Assassins, Francesco selected Enu as the first of those under him. Enu went on to assist in many missions, such as the sabotage of several of Cesare's merchant ships, the protection of the astronomers Novara and Nicolaus Copernicus, and the defense of Camerino.

He would commonly observe and protect the team from above, coordinating their movements with signals and animal cries. He also commanded a division his own archers, and would often be the one to assign them their individual targets.

Fire at the Inn

Enu was brutally injured in an ambush set by the combined forces of Cesare Borgia, and the French Templar Charles de la Motte. Shortly after his team had escaped onto the roof of the burning inn they had taken refuge within, he received a gunshot to the neck.

Though Francesco attempted to treat his injury, he too had been wounded by the marksmen. Enu's fate after the attack, and whether or not he survived, is unknown.
