Cinnabar

Cinnabar is bright scarlet to brick-red mercury ore. Widely used as a mineral pigment in antiquity, it was also used in crafting primarily decorative items.

History

During the Reconquista, the Spanish Brotherhood of Assassins used cinnabar in order to create various weapons, accessories and pieces of armor.[1]
