Pope Adrian VI (Latin: Hadrianus VI; 1459 – 1523), born Adriaan Florensz Boeyens, was the head of the Catholic Church and ruler of the Papal States from 1522 to his death.

In the Prophecy of the Popes, he is named "Leo Florentinus", meaning "Florentine lion". In 2012, he was included in a mnemonic set of Abstergo Industries' Project Legacy.[1]
