- "The issues are much too important for the Chilean voters to be left to decide for themselves."
- ―Henry Kissinger on the state of Chile, 1970.[src]
Chile, officially the Republic of Chile, is a country in South America that occupies a long, narrow strip of land between the Andes mountains to the east and the Pacific Ocean to the west. It borders Peru to the north, Bolivia to the northeast, Argentina to the east and the Drake Passage in the south.

In 1973, during the end of the socialist President Salvador Allende's reign, the Templars wanted to install their own puppet government in Chile to create a dependent working class. The Templars and Henry Kissinger organized a military coup and overthrew Allende, and installed a military junta in Chile led by dictator Augusto Pinochet.
