The Cento Occhi (English: Hundred Eyes), is a guild of thieves and bandits that rival those of La Volpe's guild. One of Ezio's targets, a thief named Lanz, was a member of the guild. The Cento Occhi were believed to be working with and funded by the Borgia. This was a way to scare the people of Rome to going into the arms of the Borgia for safety and shelter. It turned out to be quite the opposite.
The Borgia did the same thing with the Followers of Romulus who consist mostly of zealots.
