I wanted to ask you something. Which is... what's your name?
This article title is conjecture. Although the article subject is canon, no official name for it has been given.

This French Assassin, was a member of the French Brotherhood during the 18th century.

He was the second incarnation of Cartouche, and the successor of Louis-Dominique Cartouche, a legendary French highwayman, gang leader and womanizer, known to steal from the rich and give to the poor and who later joined the Brotherhood after his "execution". The bandit turned Assassin subsequently recorded his story in a diary, which he passed on to the younger Assassin prior to his death, so his legend could live on with a new Cartouche.

Decades prior to the French Revolution, Cartouche II gave the diary and the mantle of Cartouche to another Assassin, who carried on the legacy of his two forebears.
