Carolingian Longsword

The Carolingian Longsword was an Ulfberht-style longsword which originated from the Carolingian Empire in central Europe during the Early Middle Ages.

It originally belonged to the Anglo-Saxon ealdorman Lerion and was kept in his personal villa. Following his execution, the sword wound up in the hands of bandits at the Forest Hideout until it was looted from a chest by the Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan.[1]
