Carolingian Longsword

The Carolingian Longsword was Ulfberht-style longsword which originated from the Carolingian Empire in central Europe during the Early Middle Ages.

It originally belonged to the Anglo-Saxon ealdorman Lerion and was kept in his personal villa. Following his death, the sword disappeared and was subsequently acquired by the Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan.[1]
