The Bronze Vessel of Ares

The Bronze Vessel of Ares was a large bronze jar set on a pedestal in the middle of a small fountain in Ariadne's Fate region on Naxos Island, Greece.

According to the story, the giant twin sons of the god Poseidon and the mortal Iphimedeia, the Aloadai Otos and Ephialtes, imprisoned the god of war Ares within a bronze jar for thirteen months as punishment for his murder of Adonis, the beloved of the goddess Aphrodite.[1]
