Bottlenose dolphins

The bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops) are a genus of dolphins. Bottlenose dolphins are aquatic mammals and highly intelligent. They can be found worlwide in most warm seas.

History

5th century BCE

Bottlenose dolphins inhabited the Mediterranean Sea at the times of ancient Greece, swimming alongside Barnabas' trireme Adrestia and the Spartan mercenary Kassandra.[1]
