Yeltsin was secretly a member of the Templar Order. When the Templars realized that the then-leader of the Soviet Union, Mikhail Gorbachev, didn't recognize the Templars' goals, Margaret Thatcher sent a letter to Yeltsin telling him of a change of plans.
