Bede (c. 673 – 735), also called Bede the Venerable, was an English monk and scribe from Northumbria.[1]
Bede wrote extensively on a number of different topics, such as politics,[2] history[1] and etymology.[3][4] A number of his teachings were preserved at the Malmesbury and Readingum Abbey.[5]
