The Bear Grotto was a cave which a group of bears had claimed as their own on the slopes of Grand Mount Parnassos in Phokis, Greece. It was situated along the northern path to the Sanctuary of Delphi.[1]
In 431 BCE, the Spartan misthios Kassandra came across the cave, killing the albino alpha bear within.[2]
