Bear-Claw

Bear-Claw was a bearded axe which was inspired by the polar bears that roamed Norway. It featured a stylized bear head carved from a large claw on the butt of the axe head, and had three smaller claws embedded into the shaft.

During the Viking expansion into Anglo-Saxon England in the 9th century, the axe was made available to the shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan through an Animus modification by Layla Hassan, an Assassin who relieved her memories in 2020.[1]
