The Bastard Sword was a model of a heavy longsword which was commonly used in the Italian city-states at the height of the Renaissance.[1] They were produced and sold by blacksmiths in Rome, Italy in the early 16th century, beginning in August 1503.[2] One was purchased by the Assassin Ezio Auditore da Firenze and displayed in the armory of the Tiber Island headquarters.
