A Bastard Sword is a type of heavy weapon obtainable through the 15th to 18th centuries across Europe and North America.
During his quest for vengeance against Rodrigo Borgia, the Assassin Ezio Auditore da Firenze could acquire a bastard sword from any guard who used it, though he never retained the weapon for continued use.[1] During his later attempt to erode the Borgia's power, he could purchase and keep the weapon from any blacksmith in Rome.[2]
During the Granada War, the Spanish Assassins under Aguilar de Nerha forged Bastard Swords to fight with. [citation needed] And during the 18th century, Assassin-turned-Templar Shay Cormac could purchase and utilise a bastard sword during his quest to eliminate the Colonial Brotherhood of Assassins.[3]
