Baba is an ancient Egyptian detification of the hamadryas baboon, considered as a god of the Duat. As a first-born son of Osiris, Baba was viewed as a devourer of the unrighteous souls whose heart weighed heavy against Maat.
In the 1st century BCE, a statue of Baba was erected in the Adorer of Thoth Tomb, where bandits had made their camp in. During the same timeframe, a bow with his motif was used by the Medjay turned Hidden One Bayek.
