Certainly, using the conjecture template for things like the "Granada War" would be unnecessary, since there's no information that really disproves it is called that in the AC universe. In general, try to stick with what media from the Assassin's Creed universe tell you. If you're really strapped for information, but you still think the article needs to exist on the wiki, I'm not necessarily opposed to relying on outside sources here and there, as long as it's in a limited capacity.

That's my thoughts on the whole thing; would love it if DarkFeather and Sima also contributed to this, but it's increasingly looking like I need to summon 10 virgin maidens everytime I want their opinion on something >.>

In general, I think we do operate on the basis of "yeah this exists in real life, therefore we do not need to rely exclusively on in-universe sources". However, I do try to stick mostly to what the games or other AC media tell me. For landmarks, events and places, I might have a look at Wikipedia and write an introduction that is not 100% information from AC, but for the rest of the article, I do limit myself to AC stuff.

This is because it's not our obligation to be as indepth about things as Wikipedia is; ultimately, we are an AC Wikia and we should try to ensure that our content is relevant/tied to the series. I do not think the American Revolutionary War article should be equally in-depth as Wikipedia's, unless AC3/other AC sources treat the topic with the same kind of thoroughness.
