:My advice (coming from a Fandom POV) would be that it can't hurt to be more informative about that. Explanations to the appropriate use of each go a long way towards helping people know what to do - but also, in the worst case scenario that we have image mishaps again at some point, work as a clear place showing how the wiki itself is encouraging the correct use of licenses. –[[User:ReverieCode|ReverieCode]] <staff/> 09:54, 31 May 2023 (UTC)

I have a Question[edit source]

When you source images, do you put the game where you took the picture of it?

Obviously, yes. --Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 02:16, June 16, 2013 (UTC)

CC-BY SA vs Fair Use[edit source]

The current Ubisoft terms do not allow reclassifying Ubisoft-derived images as CC-BY-SA. Legally speaking, they need to be Fair Use, either using the {{fairuse}} template or the {{Screenshots}} template (which is just a more specific version of fair use).
Proposal: Replace the section on "Images from Assassin's Creed material" and the section on "Images from other games or books" with sections on {{fairuse}} and {{Screenshots}}, explaining the appropriate use of each. --Fielran (talk) 18:08, 4 May 2023 (UTC)

My advice (coming from a Fandom POV) would be that it can't hurt to be more informative about that. Explanations to the appropriate use of each go a long way towards helping people know what to do - but also, in the worst case scenario that we have image mishaps again at some point, work as a clear place showing how the wiki itself is encouraging the correct use of licenses. –ReverieCode <staff/> 09:54, 31 May 2023 (UTC)
