==About the IRC==
The #ACWiki channel on Xertion is currently bridged to #off-topic on Discord -- we only have the one channel on Xertion, and this prevents the often off-topic discussions on Xertion from disrupting topic-specific channels on Discord.  
The IRC was created as a way to keep the community of this wiki together in a more dynamic way than forums, as well as providing means to immediate warning of admins in case of on-going vandalism or other issues.


Besides the integration of the community, the IRC is also the place where conferences are held between staff members.
This bridge is dependent on the [https://aninix.net AniNIX] network -- contact DarkFeather if it is inoperable.


The use of the IRC is allowed to anyone at anytime, even users without registrations. But keep in mind that IP and other identifiers still are logged and can be blocked from the system if vandalism or stupidness is perpertraded.

The standard sanctions for dealing with violators of IRC policies are as follows:
#Warning. Directed at the violator by an operator.
#Kicking. Should only occur when policy violations, spamming, trolling, and similar transgressions are sufficiently obvious and continuous that all operators agree.
#Channel mute. All users are voiced except the violator, allowing said violator to grow frustrated and quit on his or her own.
#Kickbanning. When all else fails. Anyone with more brains than a ant will never get to this point.
