Ezio Auditore da Firenze is a character first introduced in the live-action short film ''[[Assassin's Creed: Lineage]]'', where he was played by [[Devon Bostick]]. ''Lineage'' acted as a prequel to ''[[Assassin's Creed II]]'', the next title in the video game chronology, wherein Ezio's voice was provided by [[Roger Craig Smith]]. In the Nintendo DS spin-off title ''[[Assassin's Creed II: Discovery]]'', Ezio's voice is provided by [[Kid Beyond]]. In the following entries, Ezio's voice was again provided by Roger Craig Smith. Smith however, was not asked by Ubisoft to reprise the role for ''[[Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China]]'', with Ezio's voice actor being replaced by [[Giovanni Noto]]. This replacement was met by disappoinment from many fans, in response, Loomer, a member of the online Assassin's Creed community, contacted Smith and collaborated with him to make a short fanmade video titled "The Training of Shao Jun."<ref>{{Youtube|MAoEWB547KU|The Training of Shao Jun|Loomer|Loomer}}</ref>

Ezio has also made several non-canon appearances and references in other media. In ''{{Wiki|Final Fantasy XIII-2}}'', Ezio's ''Revelations'' outfit appears as a DLC outfit for the character Noel Kreiss. In ''{{Wiki|Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands}}'', his ''Assassin's Creed II'' outfit can be unlocked via Uplay for 30 points. A Sackboy version of Ezio's outfit from ''Assassin's Creed II'' and ''Assassin's Creed: Revelations'' can be purchased for ''{{Wiki|LittleBigPlanet}}'' via the PlayStation Store.

Ezio appears in the fighting game ''{{Wiki|Soul Calibur V|Soulcalibur V}}'' as a guest fighter. He wears his Roman robes, and uses all weapon types at his disposal in said game. His alternate costume is a minor color alteration of his robes (from red and white to yellow and grey), and he cannot be further customized. In his ''Soulcalibur V'' appearance, Ezio is seen wearing identical Hidden Blade bracers, similar to pre-release images of ''Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood''. Interestingly, Ezio has a Roman Longsword and a [[Stiletto]] dagger instead of his more powerful weapons. Also unlike other characters, Ezio has only one set of weapons, and they are exclusive to him. Ezio's ''Soulcalibur V'' character art is taken from a promotional picture for ''Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood'', which features Ezio attacking Cesare Borgia. His profile image is likewise taken from his stance on the cover of ''Assassin's Creed II''. Ezio shares his main voice actor with one of the series' main characters, [[Wikipedia:Siegfried Schtauffen|Siegfried Schtauffen]]. Ezio's story in the ''Soulcalibur'' world states that he intercepted a Templar raid on Queen Isabella's boat, and after touching an unknown artifact, jumped through time to a period near to the end of the 16th century.

Ezio appeared in a short TV advertisement for ''Assassin's Creed: Revelations'', along with athletes {{Wiki|Adrian Peterson}}, {{Wiki|BJ Penn}}, and {{Wiki|Derrick Rose}}, from the NFL, UFC, and NBA respectively. Ezio was shown last, putting on his hood. During Ezio's interval, it stated that he had done 90,793 hits.<ref>{{Youtube|-M6_Mr0CskE|Assassin's Creed Revelations: Official 30 Second TV Ad Athletes <nowiki>|</nowiki> Ubisoft [NA]|UbisoftNorthAmerica|Ubisoft North America}}</ref> Ezio was also featured in the ''"Michael"'' live action commercial, part of the ''Long Live Play'' advertisement of Sony. There, he gave tribute to the gamer Michael for playing his part when "the Templars murdered his family", then chanted Michael's name in unison with the rest of the characters.<ref>{{Youtube|7_fPtazfALA|Long Live Play: Sony Character Commerical|IGN|IGN}}</ref> Ezio Auditore was featured in the Spike Video Game Awards of 2010 as part of his nomination for Character of the Year. When he was mentioned among the nominees, he addressed the crowd about his nomination, and how they should be cautious about the Templars. Another vignette was made in case he won, and was shown during the end credits of the show due to another winner being declared. Holding the Spike trophy, Ezio was named ''Best Dressed Assassin.'' Ezio then thanked the crowd and his associates during his time in Rome, and dedicated the award to Mario Auditore.<ref>{{Youtube|lScMj6bauQ0|Spike Video Game Awards 2010 Ezio Auditore da Firenze|UCSl9PCDqWFHZwX1gtPvXtLA|AC _TEMPLIER}}</ref>

So far, Neca has manufactured highly detailed figures of Ezio. The White Edition includes Ezio in his default robes with two Hidden Blades, though only the right arm one is removable. The Black Edition includes Ezio with a single Hidden Blade, along with his robes dyed in the Wetlands Ebony fashion and wearing the Missaglias armor. Later, they fashioned a figure that resembles Ezio in his default robes in ''Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood'', though it is never included in any game version, and can only be bought separately. Hot Toys has also made a 1/6 figure of Ezio in his primary robes from ''Assassin's Creed II'' with real cloth and multiple points of articulation. This figure features removable dual Hidden Blades, the [[Sword of Altaïr]], a [[Notched Cinquedea]], six throwing knives, a removable hood, a removable ponytail and four extra hands. The throwing knives, however, are not eagle-themed like in the game, and the Notched Cinquedea uses a seperate sheath, which is much unlike in the game.

==List of chapters==
Square Enix's Play Arts Kai department has also made an Ezio figure, albeit in the Misaglias Armor and the Bonus Dye skin. Although not featuring real cloth, the cinquedea, the removable throwing knives or the removable hood, the Sword of Altaïr is much more durable than the Hot Toys version, the throwing knives are game accurate and the Notched Cinquedea can be sheathed alongside the Sword of Altaïr. This version also features removable dual Hidden Blades and interchangable hands.

The names "Ezio" and "Altaïr" have similar meanings and origins. "Altaïr" means "the flying one", while "Ezio" means "eagle". "Altaïr" also comes from the name of the brightest star in the constellation {{Wiki|Aquila (constellation)|Aquila}}, which also translates to "eagle". According to Italian naming customs ''Ezio'' is a ''nome'', a personal name, and ''Auditore'' is a ''cognome'', a surname. ''Auditore'' means "a hearer, or listener" and is a surname derived from a professional title that usually belonged to judges. ''Da Firenze'' simply means "of/from Florence", identifying the place of his birth.

In ''Assassin's Creed II'', If players choose to play Sequence 13 before Sequence 12, by clearing the DLC cache, Ezio's beard will disappear until he kills Checco Orsi. This is impossible to do so in the PC version however, as they are incorporated into the main storyline. In a very rare glitch, after completing the blending mission for Paola, Ezio's hood may appear down when it is supposed to be up. This shows that the character model for Ezio is the same as Desmond. While wearing the [[Assassin's Creed II outfits|Florentine Noble Attire]], Ezio had the same movement animations as Desmond, before switching to animations similar to Altaïr's after acquiring his father's robes. During the brawl against Vieri de' Pazzi, Ezio receives a deep gash on his lip from a thrown rock. However, in the novelization ''[[Assassin's Creed: Renaissance|Renaissance]]'', the wound is situated on his forehead instead. Similarly, in the novelization, it is stated that Ezio was grey-eyed. Despite that, in all other released media, Ezio is depicted with amber-colored eyes. Ezio's Animus database only details his life before he became an Assassin, holding no information on his life within the Order, unlike his later ones in ''Brotherhood'' and ''Revelations''. Ezio will only remove his hood during cutscenes if he was wearing his father's Assassin robes.

In Ezio's biography from ''[[Assassin's Creed II: Discovery]]'', his title was misspelled, listing him as "Ezio Auditore ''de'' Firenze" instead of "Ezio Auditore ''da'' Firenze".

{| class="wikitable sortable" border="1" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2" width="100%" style="text-align:center;"
Despite Ezio receiving the brand on his left hand's ring finger when he was inducted into the Order in the memory "[[Play Along]]" from the second game, it was never shown in ''Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood'' or in any subsequent release. In promotional art for ''Brotherhood'', Ezio is shown with two identical bracers for his Hidden Blades. However, it is not possible in Rome to obtain a bracer for Ezio's right arm that matches the first one. As well as this, Ezio is shown with only the left Plate Armor pauldron, while the other was missing. However, it is not possible to manage Ezio's pauldrons in such a way.

'''The Return''' is the first chapter of the manga ''[[Assassin's Creed: Blade of Shao Jun]]'' written by [[Minoji Kurata]].

==Summary==
In ''Assassin's Creed: Revelations'', Ezio does not wear a cape on his left shoulder as he did in previous installments, though he did have one prior to being captured by the Templars at Masyaf. He also wears a full-length cloak when while in Cappadocia. A cape does show when he wore the Armor of Brutus outfit, however, and it retains the usual animations from the previous games.
'''China, 1524'''<br>
A fire erupts through a temple. The Assassin Shao Jun runs towards her wounded Mentor, shouting to him. He in turn shouts back that he no longer is in possession of an item, and that she should head west to the Mentor of Florence. Jun vows to return and to revive the Chinese Brotherhood.

'''Maijishan Grottoes, Gansu Province, North West China, 1526'''<br>
''Revelations'' is the only installment in which Ezio wears an outfit where the default appearance of his robes was not white. Ezio's second Hidden Blade, which was broken, could still be seen if he triggers them in the loading screen of the Animus. Even if Ezio dyes his robes a different color and upgraded his armor, the robes would return to the original grey and were shown without any upgrades during the cutscenes that showed him writing letters to Claudia.
The Grottoes were formerly the main Bureau of the Chinese Brotherhood. They are visited by Gao Feng, Templar and one of the “Eight Tigers” - powerful eunuchs of the Imperial Court. Inside a cave chamber hangs a large wooden cage, with a captured Shao Jun contained within. Feng expresses his shock that she would return after two years, but notes that the Assassins are a difficult group to eradicate entirely. She swears that she will never forget those killed, and that she will inflict the same pain upon him. Feng holds up a Precursor Box to Jun, explaining that he knows she was entrusted with the box in Florence. He demands to know exactly what is so special about the box to dedicate her life to its protection and whether it is a Precursor relic. Jun remains silent, and offers no answer – frustrating Feng to declare that she has no blade to escape with and that the Assassins have lost the war with the great Templar Order. As he leaves the room, Jun raises her hood over her head, and comments to herself that they did not take all of her blades. With a flick of her boot, a Hidden Blade extends from its sole.

Outside the chamber, Gao Feng greets the arriving Qiu Ju – another member of the Eight Tigers. Ju is interested to learn if it is true that an Assassin survivor had been captured. Feng explains as to who Shao Jun is, and how she had originally been a Concubine in the court of the Zhengde Emperor. He dismisses her as being no major threat to them, and that there is no way that she can escape her cage. Back inside the cave, two guards bemoan that they are not even sure if it is day or night given how long they have remained in the chamber. As they walk with torches to see in the darkness, they are distracted by a noise and move towards the disturbance. Above them, Jun hides by remaining atop a wooden beam and stays out of sight whilst the guards pass by before she herself moves on by.
Ezio was noticeably less likely to regain balance and continue running after tumbling to the ground, most likely due to his age, although this is easily countered by repeatedly pressing the Fast Walk button upon tumbling down.

Feng and Ju continue to discuss the Precursor Box, the former suggesting that its contents were hidden by Jun. Ju expresses that if she has a tongue, then there are ways of making her talk, and that it will ultimately lead to the end of the Assassins, especially if they can recover the missing “treasure” and bring the Templar dream to realisation.
==Rework into article==
;Equipment and skills
It was revealed that Ezio could speak some French, as there were "''a couple of French girls in Firenze''". During his infiltration of the Baron de Valois' camp, Ezio was demanded by a guard (due to his peculiar French accent) as to what part of France he was from. He replied with "Montréal".

Jun manages to locate a room with a storage box, within which she recovers her personal Jian sword and equipment. The guards enter the room, but before they can rush towards her, she unleashes a smoke bomb and vanishes from sight. Moments later, both of the men are slain by Jun's rope dart. Within the same room, a voice calls out from a jail cell. It is that of Hong Liwei, a former teacher to Jun who helped her to learn calligraphy years before, and eventually escape her life as a concubine. At that moment, guards rush the room and Jun's rope dart once more comes into play before then engaging them with her sword.
According to the game manual, Ezio is 6' 0" (1.83 m) tall and weighs 165 lbs (75 kg).

[[File:AC China Ezio Auditore da Firenze.jpg|thumb|left|Jun recalls the words of Ezio]]
*Ezio is briefly mentioned in the novel ''[[Assassin's Creed: The Secret Crusade]]''. At the beginning of the book, he is stated to be standing on the deck of the ship to Constantinople, before returning to his quarters to read Niccolò Polo's journal, ''"La crociata segreta"''.
Ju elects to leave for Beijing, leaving the situation in Feng's hands. The latter returns to the cave, and shouts to a guard to lower the cage. He immediately notices that some of the watchmen have vanished, and a moment later his guards lay slain around him. A blade finds his throat, as Shao Jun clutches him from behind. She remarks that it was her plan all along to get captured, in order to try and find information about the Precursor Box. Feng sadly appears to offer no new information though, and Jun is merely left with the recollection of the instructions given to her by Ezio Auditore to keep the box safe, and to always follow the Creed.

Feng questions how she will find the Box if he is killed, to which Jun states that one of the other Tigers will surely have it and that she will kill each in turn until it is found. She knocks him to the ground, and kills him with a swift stab of her sword through the heart. Guards suddenly rush into the cavern, yelling at Jun. She leaps to one of the cages, swinging her way to safety. Finally, she finds an alcove and opening that leads to the outside cliff face. Clambouring to the edge, she spies an Eagle flying high above her, before jumping out with a Leap of Faith to the land below.
[[Darby McDevitt]], Lead Writer of ''Assassin's Creed: Revelations'', said that it was probable that Ezio had fathered children outside of his marriage to Sofia. Indeed, one unidentified child's bloodline would eventually lead to Clay Kaczmarek.

'''Yokohama, Japan - 2019'''<br>
Ezio sometimes used Turkish terms when speaking to citizens, contacts and his apprentices. It was noted that Ezio's knowledge of the Turkish language was somewhat lacking, commenting that it was "absurd", and that his Greek was "nonexistent", though this was most likely a joke on his part, as most of the songs were intended to be taken humorously.
Within an Abstergo lab, Kō Risa lays upon an Animus. She is startled and brought out of her Animus session by Doctor Kaori Kagami. Kaori reminds Risa that the simulation is not real, and that even if she jumped from that height, it would not have harmed her in any way. Having moved to Kaori's office, she explains that the Animus allows Risa to experience the genetic memories of her ancestor Shao Jun. Risa remains unconvinced, and suggests that is only possible in science fiction.

Kaori reads off of a computer file, which reveals that Risa is 18 years of age, from Chinese parents, and that she has repeatedly gotten in trouble at school for starting fights with teachers and in some cases even injuring them. Now expelled and stuck at home, she has come to Dr Kagami for help with her aggressive tendencies. Kaori explains that one potential cure is for Risa to explore her genetic memories to try and uncover the cause of these violent impulses in her DNA. She implores Risa to explore the memories together as a team.
It was revealed that Ezio had some experience in playing the lute when he was younger, as he said that he "learned a few chords". When singing at the party, Ezio spoke of several notable people from his past, including Rodrigo, Cesare, and Lucrezia Borgia, Vieri and Francesco de' Pazzi, Duccio, and Caterina Sforza.

Risa's appointment comes to a finish, and she sets out into the city whilst giving her mother a call on her mobile phone. She states that Dr Kagami was really nice, and that she has decided to continue the therapy.
Upon their first meeting, Piri Reis incorrectly assumed that Ezio's name was Lothario; a lothario has come to mean a man whose main interest is seducing women. The colloquialism was fitting to Ezio's personality during his younger days, when he would often flirt with the women he met during his travels.

[[Achilles Davenport]] mentioned Ezio during a conversation with Connor about the history of the Assassins. In the visions shown to Desmond by [[Juno]] in the Grand Temple, in which Ezio spoke to Minerva, Juno showed Ezio wearing his Roman robes, despite the fact he wore the Armor of Altaïr at the time. A similar error appears in the opening cinematic, in which Ezio is displayed wearing his Pilgrimage robes while talking to Minerva.
Meanwhile, back in her office, Kaori is on a bluetooth headset call. She informs the caller that she has located the artifact, and is surprised at the synchronisation levels shown by Risa. She vows to continue the research as it will provide a chance to get close to “the treasure”, and reveals herself to be a Templar by ending the call with “May The Father Of Understanding Guide You”.

As rain hammers down over the night skyline of Yokohama, Risa pulls up her hood over her head, and walks outside to head home.
It has been confirmed by writer Darby McDevitt that Ezio and Altaïr were not related, but came from two different sides of Desmond's family.

Ezio Auditore da Firenze is a character first introduced in the live-action short film Assassin's Creed: Lineage, where he was played by Devon Bostick. Lineage acted as a prequel to Assassin's Creed II, the next title in the video game chronology, wherein Ezio's voice was provided by Roger Craig Smith. In the Nintendo DS spin-off title Assassin's Creed II: Discovery, Ezio's voice is provided by Kid Beyond. In the following entries, Ezio's voice was again provided by Roger Craig Smith. Smith however, was not asked by Ubisoft to reprise the role for Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China, with Ezio's voice actor being replaced by Giovanni Noto. This replacement was met by disappoinment from many fans, in response, Loomer, a member of the online Assassin's Creed community, contacted Smith and collaborated with him to make a short fanmade video titled "The Training of Shao Jun."[1]

Ezio's robes are available to purchase through Uplay for Assassin's Creed III for 30 Uplay points. The robes are his Roman ones. However, the underside of the cape and the interior of the hood are white instead of the red that appears in the game. The robe also includes a leather shoulder spaulder and one Hidden Blade bracer, despite the fact that Connor was able to wield two blades. His robes also appeared as DLC is nearly every following game.

Ezio has also made several non-canon appearances and references in other media. In Final Fantasy XIII-2, Ezio's Revelations outfit appears as a DLC outfit for the character Noel Kreiss. In Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, his Assassin's Creed II outfit can be unlocked via Uplay for 30 points. A Sackboy version of Ezio's outfit from Assassin's Creed II and Assassin's Creed: Revelations can be purchased for LittleBigPlanet via the PlayStation Store.

Ezio appears in the fighting game Soulcalibur V as a guest fighter. He wears his Roman robes, and uses all weapon types at his disposal in said game. His alternate costume is a minor color alteration of his robes (from red and white to yellow and grey), and he cannot be further customized. In his Soulcalibur V appearance, Ezio is seen wearing identical Hidden Blade bracers, similar to pre-release images of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. Interestingly, Ezio has a Roman Longsword and a Stiletto dagger instead of his more powerful weapons. Also unlike other characters, Ezio has only one set of weapons, and they are exclusive to him. Ezio's Soulcalibur V character art is taken from a promotional picture for Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, which features Ezio attacking Cesare Borgia. His profile image is likewise taken from his stance on the cover of Assassin's Creed II. Ezio shares his main voice actor with one of the series' main characters, Siegfried Schtauffen. Ezio's story in the Soulcalibur world states that he intercepted a Templar raid on Queen Isabella's boat, and after touching an unknown artifact, jumped through time to a period near to the end of the 16th century.

In PlayStation Home, Ezio's Assassin robes from Assassin's Creed II are an outfit that could be bought. On the Xbox 360, it is possible to purchase Ezio's Robes from Assassin's Creed II, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, and Assassin's Creed: Revelations as avatar outfits, costing 400 Microsoft points each.

Ezio appeared in a short TV advertisement for Assassin's Creed: Revelations, along with athletes Adrian Peterson, BJ Penn, and Derrick Rose, from the NFL, UFC, and NBA respectively. Ezio was shown last, putting on his hood. During Ezio's interval, it stated that he had done 90,793 hits.[2] Ezio was also featured in the "Michael" live action commercial, part of the Long Live Play advertisement of Sony. There, he gave tribute to the gamer Michael for playing his part when "the Templars murdered his family", then chanted Michael's name in unison with the rest of the characters.[3] Ezio Auditore was featured in the Spike Video Game Awards of 2010 as part of his nomination for Character of the Year. When he was mentioned among the nominees, he addressed the crowd about his nomination, and how they should be cautious about the Templars. Another vignette was made in case he won, and was shown during the end credits of the show due to another winner being declared. Holding the Spike trophy, Ezio was named Best Dressed Assassin. Ezio then thanked the crowd and his associates during his time in Rome, and dedicated the award to Mario Auditore.[4]

Later, they fashioned a figure that resembles Ezio in his default robes in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, though it is never included in any game version, and can only be bought separately. Hot Toys has also made a 1/6 figure of Ezio in his primary robes from Assassin's Creed II with real cloth and multiple points of articulation. This figure features removable dual Hidden Blades, the Sword of Altaïr, a Notched Cinquedea, six throwing knives, a removable hood, a removable ponytail and four extra hands. The throwing knives, however, are not eagle-themed like in the game, and the Notched Cinquedea uses a seperate sheath, which is much unlike in the game.

"Altaïr" also comes from the name of the brightest star in the constellation Aquila, which also translates to "eagle". According to Italian naming customs Ezio is a nome, a personal name, and Auditore is a cognome, a surname. Auditore means "a hearer, or listener" and is a surname derived from a professional title that usually belonged to judges. Da Firenze simply means "of/from Florence", identifying the place of his birth.

In Assassin's Creed II, If players choose to play Sequence 13 before Sequence 12, by clearing the DLC cache, Ezio's beard will disappear until he kills Checco Orsi. This is impossible to do so in the PC version however, as they are incorporated into the main storyline. In a very rare glitch, after completing the blending mission for Paola, Ezio's hood may appear down when it is supposed to be up. This shows that the character model for Ezio is the same as Desmond. While wearing the Florentine Noble Attire, Ezio had the same movement animations as Desmond, before switching to animations similar to Altaïr's after acquiring his father's robes. During the brawl against Vieri de' Pazzi, Ezio receives a deep gash on his lip from a thrown rock. However, in the novelization Renaissance, the wound is situated on his forehead instead. Similarly, in the novelization, it is stated that Ezio was grey-eyed. Despite that, in all other released media, Ezio is depicted with amber-colored eyes. Ezio's Animus database only details his life before he became an Assassin, holding no information on his life within the Order, unlike his later ones in Brotherhood and Revelations. Ezio will only remove his hood during cutscenes if he was wearing his father's Assassin robes.

In Ezio's biography from Assassin's Creed II: Discovery, his title was misspelled, listing him as "Ezio Auditore de Firenze" instead of "Ezio Auditore da Firenze".

Despite Ezio receiving the brand on his left hand's ring finger when he was inducted into the Order in the memory "Play Along" from the second game, it was never shown in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood or in any subsequent release. In promotional art for Brotherhood, Ezio is shown with two identical bracers for his Hidden Blades. However, it is not possible in Rome to obtain a bracer for Ezio's right arm that matches the first one. As well as this, Ezio is shown with only the left Plate Armor pauldron, while the other was missing. However, it is not possible to manage Ezio's pauldrons in such a way.

In the Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood novel, Ezio loses all his Codex inventions (the Hidden Gun, the Poison Blade, and the second Hidden Blade) during the Villa attack. In the game, Ezio only loses the Armor of Altaïr, the Metal Cestus and the second Hidden Blade, though he still says to Leonardo that he had lost all of the inventions.

Ezio's storyline, emphasizing his loneliness, was inspired by George Clooney's character in the film Up in the Air.[5]

In Assassin's Creed: Revelations, Ezio does not wear a cape on his left shoulder as he did in previous installments, though he did have one prior to being captured by the Templars at Masyaf. He also wears a full-length cloak when while in Cappadocia. A cape does show when he wore the Armor of Brutus outfit, however, and it retains the usual animations from the previous games.

Revelations is the only installment in which Ezio wears an outfit where the default appearance of his robes was not white.

Ezio was noticeably less likely to regain balance and continue running after tumbling to the ground, most likely due to his age, although this is easily countered by repeatedly pressing the Fast Walk button upon tumbling down.

Rework into article[edit | edit source]

Equipment and skills

It was revealed that Ezio could speak some French, as there were "a couple of French girls in Firenze". During his infiltration of the Baron de Valois' camp, Ezio was demanded by a guard (due to his peculiar French accent) as to what part of France he was from. He replied with "Montréal".

According to the game manual, Ezio is 6' 0" (1.83 m) tall and weighs 165 lbs (75 kg).

  • Ezio is briefly mentioned in the novel Assassin's Creed: The Secret Crusade. At the beginning of the book, he is stated to be standing on the deck of the ship to Constantinople, before returning to his quarters to read Niccolò Polo's journal, "La crociata segreta".

Darby McDevitt, Lead Writer of Assassin's Creed: Revelations, said that it was probable that Ezio had fathered children outside of his marriage to Sofia. Indeed, one unidentified child's bloodline would eventually lead to Clay Kaczmarek.

Upon their first meeting, Piri Reis incorrectly assumed that Ezio's name was Lothario; a lothario has come to mean a man whose main interest is seducing women. The colloquialism was fitting to Ezio's personality during his younger days, when he would often flirt with the women he met during his travels.

Achilles Davenport mentioned Ezio during a conversation with Connor about the history of the Assassins. In the visions shown to Desmond by Juno in the Grand Temple, in which Ezio spoke to Minerva, Juno showed Ezio wearing his Roman robes, despite the fact he wore the Armor of Altaïr at the time. A similar error appears in the opening cinematic, in which Ezio is displayed wearing his Pilgrimage robes while talking to Minerva.

It has been confirmed by writer Darby McDevitt that Ezio and Altaïr were not related, but came from two different sides of Desmond's family.

Most of Ezio's romantic relationships were with women who served as model for painters: Cristina Vespucci for Sandro Botticelli, Caterina Sforza for Lorenzo di Credi in La dama dei gelsomini, Lisa del Giocondo for Leonardo Da Vinci and Sofia Sartor for Albrecht Dürer.
