I'm currently still residing under my parents' roof and I am also an older brother and the first child, I am his senior by four years.  My mother works for Air Canada as a ground hostess and my father is a licensed Glazer but he also signs on under many different Construction contracts, as such he is the epitome of Mike Holmes (Perhaps even better- in my opinion anyway). I can be found in my room surfing the internet on my Mac for more than six hours a day which results in my keeping of odd hours. I have all the seventh generation gaming systems so I suppose I'm pretty well off financially speaking, but my folks and I are only middle class at best.

I started playing Assassin's Creed in late 2009 despite having heard of it back in 2007.  Turned out, I really adored the game and have been a die hard fan ever since then. Amendment: It has been fourteen long years since my foray into the Assassin's Creed franchise. While I remain as dedicated to the series as I was when I was 14 years old, I am beginning to experience a bit of burnout with the series. The franchise particularly has seen a plethora of changes to its formula. With the emergence of new and more powerful gaming consoles, we are beginning to see a new level of video game storytelling and gameplay mechanics. Currently, I am eagerly anticipating Assassin's Creed Codename Hexe, but I cannot say for how much longer I will remain a dedicated fan of Assassin's Creed. While to some this franchise is a newly discovered love, for me it is an old flame that while continuing to burn bright and hot is gradually losing its potency. Fourteen years is a long time to be invested in a single game franchise, and I did not think that Assassin's Creed would have persisted for as long as it has. I thought the death of Desmond Miles would eventually lead to the end of the series, and in some ways... it tragically felt like the end of an era, and it still does. I just want to say that it has been a hell of a ride, and I will always cherish Assassin's Creed for igniting my interest in history and philosophy. I suppose this has become my tribute and musings on being a veteran of this franchise. I'm a different person today than I was when I first joined this Wiki ten years ago, and it is oftentimes difficult to believe that so much time has passed when it feels like 2012 was not that long ago. I don't know what the future holds for the gaming industry or for Assassin's Creed, but I feel honoured and priviledged to have been part of the journey. While I am not an old man, gaming has been part of my life for 22 years now, so the evolution has been particularly exciting even if some gamers have become jaded, I have not. I would like to write more, but I think I will conclude my thoughts here.
