Hai hai, fellow wiki members. Penultime "getting down post", I'm on the sixth post of a seven news challenge -- only wednesday left and you will never hear a reminder of that damn song on this wiki again XD
The first DLC for [[Assassin's Creed: Revelations]] has been announced. Named [[The Lost Archive|"The Lost Archive"]], the downloadable content will feature gameplay sequences similar to Desmond's Journey ones, but focused on [[Subject 16]]'s life. Unfortunaly, Ubisoft's trend of not including (or at least delaying) PC players also makes a appearance this time. Altough I expect it to be avaiable for PC at a later date, I still find the lack of explanation for excluding the PC version disgusting, without even a mention to the why.

I would like to open this news post with a little bit of info acquired: we now have the ''NAMES'' of Ezio Auditore's '''SON and DAUGHTER'''. That's right. Confirmed in the Comic Con 2011 Panel by one of [[Assassin's Creed: Embers|AC Embers]] creators (sorry, I couldn't hear his name over the crowd, maybe someone on the comments can fill this out for us), Ezio had two children following the events at Constantinople. Those two kids are named '''[[Marcello Auditore|Marcello]] and [[Flavia Auditore]], and they both will play a very important role on the animation by [[Ubiworkshop]]. You can hear the confirmation and info at approximately 0:19m:15s at [http://comic-con.gamespot.com/video/6325033/#toggle_video this video] recording of the Assassin's Creed Panel made by [www.gamespot.com Gamespot]
On a cheerful note, this week the wiki has surpassed the TWO THOUSAND main article count! <small>(everyone cheers)</small><br />It's amazing to see that little 7-page site I found in 2009 become a 2000 pages encyclopedia, a compendium of information so complete and awesome that even AC developers use for reference. To celebrate this, [[User:Nostalgia AC]] (our newest Istruttore) have made a special commemorative userbox, which can be seen below along with it's code:

Following that, our new piece of info is wikirelated! We now have a new, redesigned main page portal, with new, very pretty buttons and more info in the same space. Well, actually, its around 50% bigger, but trust me, our first prototypes were a LOT bigger.

<nowiki>{{Template:UserPoundcake}}</nowiki>

I spent a couple of days figuring the best arrangement of buttons out of 15 possibilites and over 600 combinations (and doing the coding... I hate the coding), but the ones truly responsible for the execution, with Special Credits for this new arrangement, goes to/are:
* [[User:War Clown|Lord of War... Clown]] -- responsible for the awesome icons
* [[User:UDITORE|Apprentice Uditore]] -- Who gave me the half-height button idea and actually made those bars.

So that's it, peeps. If you like the new portal, give your kudos on the comments.

I would also like to make a special mention for our oldest admin and my consigliere, [[User:Master Sima Yi]]. My second in command, his amazing writing skills and throughout knowledge of AC canon helped shape this wiki to what it has become today. Leadership and charisma aren't everything a administration needs to be successful -- it also needs efficiency, dedication and professionalism. And Sima helps to make sure the wiki has all three of them. He is the Spock to my Captain Kirk. He is the Guardian of knowledge of this Compendium of information. And he is a good friend of mine. Thank you, Phil.

To finish it off, I would like to share with you all a Ezio tribute video made by one of our own.. The video, called [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JGtRrDRB-2g&feature=channel_video_title Ezio's Farewell], is a music tribute to Ezio Auditore made by our ComDev [[User:Subject 16*|Sick-Steen]]. It is pretty fun, so make sure to watch it! (and follow him if you have a Youtube account ^^)

Also, make sure to check this blog out: [http://assassinscreed.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:UDITORE/Apprenticeship_for_Dummies Apprenticeship for Dummies]. It's a blog made by one of our apprentices, Udi (the same one who made the bars for the main page) regarding the best ways to make yourself stand out here on wiki and initiate your path to awesomeness. To be honest I have *not* read it, but she is a good bambina (even if just a little weird XD), and I told her I would announce it here when she finished it. =P
Aaand this is all for now, brothers and sisters. Stay tuned for more AC news and sound off on the comments below. =]

That is all for today. Look forward to the next blogpost, where more AC info, wiki info, useless info, or all of the above, will be present once again. And if you ever need of help or love, the staff is here for you.
Safety and peace, folks.

On a cheerful note, this week the wiki has surpassed the TWO THOUSAND main article count! (everyone cheers)
It's amazing to see that little 7-page site I found in 2009 become a 2000 pages encyclopedia, a compendium of information so complete and awesome that even AC developers use for reference. A encylopedia better even than Ubisoft's official one. And all of this build by us -- editors and staff.

To celebrate this, User:Nostalgia AC (our newest Istruttore) have made a special commemorative userbox, which can be seen below along with it's code:

This user has helped the wiki achieve 2000 articles and has earned a slice of the Assassin's Poundcake.
