| I propose deleting this article. No offense to its creator, but I really do not think it is necessary or particularly useful. Swimming is a fairly basic action which does not, in my humble opinion, warrant a page. Otherwise, we would also need to make pages for walking, sitting, standing, climbing, falling, turning, talking. (Yes, I know I am taking it to an extreme here, but it is just to illustrate my point.) I am aware of the page we have for free-running, but that is an action that is inherent to the Assassin's Creed franchise - swimming is not. | :First off, swimming was a major gameplay addition in ACII, the mechanics of which were expanded for in ''Liberation'' and about to be delved into further with the diving bell sequences in ''Black Flag''. Furthermore, swimming is not a basic function, considering many people ''can't'' swim and a skill for the Assassins like freerunning or [[blending]] (your aforementioned "sitting" page).

| :Don't be rash: I'm sure there's plenty to improve the article as a swimming expert may come along and point out the different techniques in the series. ''Black Flag'' will also expand the mechanic in other ways, for example I've heard rumors NPCs will finally be able to swim.

| :If this article were deleted, I would either merge it to the training section of the Assassins page or rename freerunning to discuss Parkour in general, of which swimming can be part of sometimes it's the only way of getting from point A to point B.
