Diacritic in Name?

In the first sentence, his name is spelled with the acute accent over the letter E, but the article name has it without. Which is correct? Wikipedia has it without the diacritic: Gerard de Ridefort. Good question. Max created the page, Bovkaffe changed the name in the opening sentence. I've checked two versions of the Encyclopedia, as that's the only reference down. Skimming for relevant sections (Templars, Crusades, Saladin, Jerusalem) I can't find any mention of him. Stormbeast ♉ ^{The Helpful Place} 03:16, March 13, 2016 (UTC)

I created a page for Gerard de Ridefort because someone added him to the known Grand Masters (12:24, August 31, 2014‎ Spanish assassin). For the accent, it's probably because I'm french, so I used the french wikipedia to create his page here Maxattac (talk) 10:01, March 13, 2016 (UTC)
