Why an Assassin?[edit source]

This is an ongoing discussion.

Why is this article listed in the categoy 'Assassins'. As fas as I know, Federico was never inducted into the Brotherhood. He died before Giovanni could even tell him of existance of the Assassins. If being the son of an Assassin automatically makes you an Assassin, even Petruccio was an Assassin... Semagodo (talk) 19:22, August 19, 2015 (UTC)

"He started his training as an Assassin with his father before Ezio, and passed on much of his learnings of combat and freerunning to his younger brother." Crook The Constantine District 19:32, August 19, 2015 (UTC)
Ezio stated that his brother stood around the ceremonial fire, just as an Assassin would. Since he obviously wasn't talking about Petruccio, it must have been Federico. --Crimson Knight Intercom 20:07, August 19, 2015 (UTC)

Can we revive this topic? I don't know what the above user is talking about, I even rewatched Lineage and there's no evidence Federico was aware of the Assassins. Idarak (talk) 16:26, 4 September 2025 (UTC)

From an admittedly quick skim of the AC2 novelization Renaissance, I also cannot find any confirmation there that Federico was an Assassin, unless I missed it. Per page history, his alleged Assassin affiliation was added way back in October 2009 shortly after the page's creation. – Darman (talk) 00:45, 6 September 2025 (UTC)
Yeah it seems like fanon, the closest thing we have is Giovanni asking Federico in Lineage to stall the guards, but he just does that by talking to them like a normal people. Seems like fanon, thanks for reviving this issue. Idarak (talk) 22:29, 7 September 2025 (UTC)
I didn't revive it, Lacrossedeamon (not in this chat) did. Still don't know about this "ceremonial fire" of which Crimson spoke. Maybe it's in Brotherhood or Revelations games/books. – Darman (talk) 23:00, 7 September 2025 (UTC)
