Tjinder Dani (died 1859) was an Indian member of the Templar Order who was making plans to establish an outpost in Amritsar in 1859.
Biography[edit | edit source]
The Indian Brotherhood of Assassins eventually heard of his plans and collected information about Dani. Aware of their presence, Dani suspected an attack from the enemy and thus hired bodyguards for his safety. In addition to this, he also barred all doors and laid traps for nocturnal attacks.[1]
With this, the young Jayadeep Mir was tasked with his assassination, but his attempt at strangling Dani with a garrotte while he was sleeping went awry, as he hesitated, causing the garrotte's coin to fall. Woken, the Templar engaged the Assassin in battle and both ended up falling through a window onto the street. Dani began to strangle Jayadeep as the Templar's guards came to help their master. Arbaaz Mir, Jayadeep's father who had accompanied his son on the mission, intervened after he saw his son's failure, killing Dani by thrusting his Hidden Blade into his skull.[1]
