This article is about the third pharaoh of the Eighteenth Dynasty. For other uses, see Thutmose.

Thutmose I (died c. 1493 BCE), also known as Thutmosis or Tuthmosis I, was the third pharaoh of the Eighteenth Dynasty of Egypt. He was the father of Hatshepsut, who reigned as the fifth pharaoh.

During his reign, Thutmose I built his tomb in the Valley of the Kings, a small valley across the Nile from Thebes to stifle tomb robbing. However, his efforts did not last as his tomb was eventually plundered by tomb robbers.
