The White Whale was a virtual representation of one of Alonzo Batilla's genetic memories, relived by a research analyst at Abstergo Entertainment through the Animus.

Description[edit | edit source]

Alonzo and Jumao sailed to the Arctic Ocean to harpoon a white whale.

Dialogue[edit | edit source]

  • Jumao: This place is frozen hell, captain! What are we doing here?
  • Alonzo: We're chasing a very special prize, my friend. A legendary whale...
  • Jumao: We've come all this way for a whale?!
  • Alonzo: A white whale! Fishermen say it's an ancient sea god! A monster who devoured a hundred ships!
  • Jumao: We'd better start looking then. I need to leave these waters before I freeze to death!

Alonzo searched a spot nearby.

  • Jumao: The white whale is nowhere to be found...

Alonzo searched another spot.

  • Jumao: Maybe the whale saw us?

  • Alonzo: The whale's here! That's our chance to catch it!

Alonzo neared the whale in a rowing boat, and threw four harpoons at it, but it escapes. A fisherwoman appeared.

Yakone coming to aid
  • Yakone: The whale has fled, pirate! I'll show you the way. Follow me... if you can keep up!

Alonzo followed Yakone through the glaciers. However, he was confronted again by pirate hunter Alvaro.

  • Alvaro: Surprised to see me here, you miserable wretch?!
  • Alonzo: Curse you for breathing, bounty hunter! I have no time to waste!
  • Alvaro: But you do, pirate. You do...

Alonzo and Alvaro's ships engaged each other, with Alonzo defeating Alvaro.

  • Alonzo: The ice of the North will be your final resting place!
  • Alvaro: If I ever descend to hell... it'll be to drag you there! You'll never be free of me!
  • Alonzo: What a persistent fool... I hope the sea has seized his bloody carcass!
  • Jumao: Can we resume our whale hunt? I can't feel my fingertips!

Alonzo caught up with Yakone. Suddenly, the whale appeared again.

  • Jumao: There she is! Don't let her get away!

Alonzo set out in the rowing boat again. After being hit with four more harpoons, the whale was killed.

  • Jumao: And we're bound to be richer!
  • Alonzo: I don't know if we should celebrate death of such a formidable beast.
  • Jumao: What's gotten into you, captain? This is the first time I've seen you mourn a prize!
  • Yakone: It's not a prize that you took... it's the evil spirit of the North seas.
  • Alonzo: Who are you, woman? What are you talking about?
  • Yakone: I am Yakone, the Inuit. The whale you have killed... was terrorizing my people. You have liberated us. And now you will have my help until my last breath.
  • Alonzo: Your help? What makes you think that I need help?
  • Yakone: I am a master of resources, pirate. With me aboard, the sea will become a more bountiful place!

Alonzo killed Alvaro and the white whale. In gratitude for the whale's death, Yakone joined Alonzo's crew to oversee their supplies.
