Before anyone gets confused, I'd like to clarify that this Tazim and Malik's son are not the same. They share the same first name but are otherwise different characters.

―Tazim rebuking Altaïr's remarks about Abbas, 1247.[src]-[m]
Tazim and the Assassins approached by an elderly Altaïr

Tazim was a member of the Levantine Brotherhood of Assassins.

Biography[edit | edit source]

One evening in 1247, Tazim sat with Teragani, Cemal, and another Assassin at a campfire just outside Masyaf's gate. Cemal and Teragani were deriding the nightmares afflicting their leader Abbas Sofian when they were joined by Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad, Abbas's ousted predecessor, without a self-introduction.[1]

Despite the ruin Abbas had wrought on his family and the Prder, Altaïr chided them to pity Abbas but refrain from mocking him. Unlike his companions, Tazim defended Abbas but demurred when they correctly identified the elderly man next to them as Altaïr himself. After decades in exile, during which the Levantine Brotherhood had become nothing more than a rogue, bandit state, Altaïr finally intended to seize back the order in a counter-coup. Apart from Tazim, the group of Assassins readily assented and joined his movement into Masyaf immediately. Tazim, for his part, abstained from participating.[1]
