Takatori Castle Ruins is an abandoned rundown castle situated in Takatori in Yamato, Japan.
History[edit | edit source]
In 1582, the Kakushiba ikki members Fujibayashi Naoe and Yasuke traveled to the ruins after Kojiro informed them of bandits stationed there. Infiltrated the ruins, they ultimately killed the bandit chief and his subordinates. Investigating, they soon found communication of how they were paid to cause chaos among the locals and steal relics from the shrines, giving the illusion of "angry spirits."[1] While at the ruins, Naoe and Yasuke also climbed atop its tenshu and oversaw the province.[2]
